Need part # for 72 only aux tank fuel neck grommet
The fuel neck for the 72 aux tank is smaller than my main tank. What is the GM part # for the correct gasket? Hoping to find a NOS piece. Couldn't find the # on a forum search. Thanks, Pete

Re: Need part # for 72 only aux tank fuel neck grommet
The parts book I've got lists the grommet as 3886792, the upper seal (inner panel) as 3994606 and the lower seal (floor) as 3980028 for an auxillary tank in a '72.
Hope this helps.

Old thread.
Wondering if you ever found either of these seals Pete. Look the same for my Blazer I think.

Re: Need part # for 72 only aux tank fuel neck grommet
hi jeff - I recall making use of OEM grommets that were in decent shape and hidden behind the fuel neck cover but did use a NOS example for the exposed grommet at the bedside. Best, Pete
