Ford 9" for 62' c10

Looking for a ford 9" and wondering does it matter what the 9" comes off of? Besides having the mounts moved 9s there anything else that wood need to be changed. My understanding which may be wrong is that certain cars/trucks had better or stronger 9" in them. I'm going to the junk yard and wanted to make sure what would fit.

Re: Ford 9" for 62' c10

There have been several threads on this and the search may help. The problem with a 9" is most of the ones with the width you need end up with an off set pinion. Then you have to deal with what bolt pattern you end up with. The stronger ones had 31 spline axles. It wont cost any less to build a 9" over a 12 bolt.
