http://www.barnes4wd.com/search.asp?...erches&search=

I got mine for a 14 bolt rear end that I put in my 72. Very high quality and the cost is cheap too.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish with the shackles then? If you are using a different rear axle, and the stock leafs don't sit on the perches on the new axle, cut them off and buy new perches to weld on. I am curious as to what your goal is.

Re: leaf spring

Looks like he wants to bolt a dually axle in a C20. Is the 3/4 ton truck a leaf or is it a coil truck? I'm assuming coils since you need leaf hangers?

The 2x4 trucks have 42.5" spring centers except the 133" wheelbase trucks which seem to be 40.5" same as the one tons and 4 wheel drives.

Even if you get the front spring mount and rear shackle mount if you are trying to convert a coil truck or if you are thinking that the width between perches is affected by the mounts it is not.

You will have to re-weld perches on the housing to do this either way, but as you can tell, we are having to make a LOT of assumptions about what you are trying to accomplish.

Re: leaf spring

My truck has the Dana 60 with leafs( 71 c20) and I bolted dual rear wheels right on and have been running them for about 15 years or more. You have to have long studs and use the older bud wheel that's is kind of round looking in the center. The one from newer Chevys like my 01 don't work they hit the drum before they get all the way in. Again as others have said not sure what your starting out with or where you hope to wind up.

Re: leaf spring

I have a 68 c20 with coils and want to install a dually rear axle. I did not think trailing arms with coils would work, so I am inquiring about hardware to install leaf springs.

You could go to a local pick and pull and remove a couple shackle mounts from another truck. I'd imagine the square body trucks are pretty close to the mounts on our trucks. You could probably even get a set of leafs from a truck there too. Hope this helps.

Re: leaf spring

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the square bodies use a different width leaf. Different hardware. You'd need it all.

I think one tons and 4wd's are the same width. I will check after school today, I have a 77 c10, an 82 k20 and a 72 k20.

Re: leaf spring

67-72 4x4 are 40.5" spring center.
67-72 2x4 are 42.5" spring center except Longhorns and C30 that are 40.5"

73-87 2x4 C10/C20 and 4x4 K10/K20 are 42.5"
73-87 one ton 2x4/4x4 are 40.5"
