1970 c20 conversion to 4wd

Hi everyone I have acquired a 1970 c20. I am looking to convert it to a 4wd but I am not sure the best way to attack this. I understand that finding the correct frame would be best but man they are hard to find and not cheap. I found a 76 k10 with no motor for a very cheap price that I figured I could either use that frame or transfer the needed parts over to my c20. I would appreciate any input. Thank you for your time

Re: 1970 c20 conversion to 4wd

I'd highly recommend a swap to a K20 chassis rather than swapping the axles and transfer case/driveline - a 71/72 would be a bonus, but not necessarily required (brings disk brakes along for the ride). And, since I just noticed the above post was Ken's, I'm not at all surprised he's got a K20 chassis or two lying around(!) He's who I bought mine from (with body still attached). Anyway, he's a great guy to deal with is all I'm saying if he has what you're looking for. Good luck on your swap!
