Correct TKO 600 Trans mount
I am in the middle of swapping a TH400 to a TKO 600 in my 69. I have a Hurst Driveline crossmember I bought a few years back (They still sell it but they no longer do the entire kit) I called them to get a PN for the mount and they said "use the stock part". I don't know what vehicles came with TKO 600's
Has anyone here gone through this swap and can give me a PN? I want to get an Energy Suspension. or Prothane...but any info would help. The holes on the Hurst crossmember for the mount are 1-1/2" apart if that helps. Thanks for any info! |

Re: Correct TKO 600 Trans mount
I should add that the TKO mount spacing is 5.5"
Which from what I have read is the Ford version. Got the trans from Modern Driveline specifically for my truck. Don't know why the mounts are "Ford" spacing. |

NOPE... its drilled for both the Ford and Chevy spacing so... 5.5 OR 3.75

Maybe the ‘stock part’ they say to use is the original turbo 400 mount.

Re: Correct TKO 600 Trans mount
#99, yes, after contacting everyone from MDL to Energy Suspensions the TH400 mount is the correct part. Seems odd I would have to go to this trouble just to find out I already have the part.
To be honest the guys at MDL have been nothing short of great to deal with. They probably think it is obvious... which nothing is to me! |
