Anyone have a turn buckle Alt belt tension adjuster?
Anyone have a turn buckle Alt belt tension adjuster?
dunno why I never thought of it, I sure could use a better way over stock way. Does it work well? have a dual Vbelt set up on my alt and only takes a few month and full juice load at night has them squealing again. a quick turn adjustment would be nice. pics???

Here's what I have been running for several years on my short pump setup. It's from Summit Racing. I like it.

I don't think that I have ever seen a dual belt alt setup that did not squal after a short time. Usually one belt stretches a little more than the other and then the noise starts. Can you get by just taking one belt off?

We have ran turnbuckle brackets for years. Quick adjustment and they look cool.

I'm looking for one for the alternator on the other side.
Any recommendations for one like this?: ![]()

I've got a turnbuckle setup on my '61 Bel Air Sport Coupe. Works great, never heard a peep outta the belts.

Re: Anyone have a turn buckle Alt belt tension adjuster?
Yes, they look great and generate a lot of force. One risk is that you now have a lot more tightening force available than you had before. Over-tightening can damage belts, bushings, or bearings. As long as you keep that in mind it will be an excellent solution.
