Intake manifolds
I went to the Pomona swap meet today for some early deals.
While there I noticed a sbc intake manifold with the carb mounted at a 45* angle to where it normally is. While I have seen them many times before. I never thought to ask. Why would you want the carb at a 45* angle. Is it for racing like some circle track trickery? |

Re: Intake manifolds
Torker intakes were like that.
Theory was that the fuel had a straighter shot at the head intake ports. |

Re: Intake manifolds
Interesting concept. I can see the theory in my head, and wonder if it was worth it in the end.

Re: Intake manifolds
It was more common on big blocks because they have much more sever distribution issues than small blocks.
