Re: Needing a parking brake cable

From my experience with a 1971 C10, you at least need to ID LWB or SWB, coils Vs leaf springs, and connector type at the wheel plate.

In my case the reputable dealer still sent the wrong ones. That's what I get for a SWB, 2WD C10 W leaf springs "they'd never seen before". I had to send them the right ones.

Thumbs up Re: Needing a parking brake cable

LMC has the cables and such.
#5 is the cable going into the back wheel.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Needing a parking brake cable

Pictures of the backing plate for the brakes would help. As was stated before, coil or leaf spring and long or short wheelbase. I just replaced those exact cables on my 67 and got AC Delco cables from RockAuto. Not very expensive and fit like the originals.
