T-5 adapter plate?
hey folks. I'm putting a T-5 transmission together for a 1968 C10. Upon reading a lot of material on this site, I thought the T5 would match up with the bell housing (was a sm465 with a 307 engine). Alas, the hole for the bell housing is larger than the trans. Going back and re reading all the threads, it seems that 1967 and older would match up seamlessly but I have a 68 with the larger hole. So my question is, does anyone know of a place to buy an adapter plate that goes between transmission and bell housing? I know I could have a machinist make a ring and press fit it but I either want to go adapter plate.....or a different bell housing. When reading the older posts, when I click on the links for adapter plates, those older posts are listing businesses that are out of business or their web site is no longer up.
