Amp-meter glass fuses -need length please

1970 c10 with stock amp-meter.

What is the length of the 4amp glass fuses for the amp-meter?

The 2 fuses are in the engine compartment they are busted. I can't measure their length but they look like they were shorties.

I just want to make sure I buy the right length to fit in the housing.

And what is recommended for prevention treatment so they don't get stuck and broken when removing I'm the future?

Per my owner's manual for a '71, pretty sure a '70 would be the same. Ammeter in-line fuse is a 3AG/AGC fuse. Two required--4 Amp fuse
