Rear seat getting restored

I'm waiting on my cover, but my restoration of my rear seat is getting closer. Got it painted and now working to get it bolted into place.

Re: Rear seat getting restored

Aren't you just going to have to unbolt it to add the foam, seat belts, and upholstery?

Yes, but just 4 bolts. My seat is a 2 bolt on the backside not a 4 bolt. I figured I'd get all that out the way and my new holes drilled and whatever fab work underneath out of the way.

There should be a factory channel with nuts welded to it. I can get a picture of what it looks like if you like unless you still plan on making your our setup.

Yes I found them. However, the original bolts must have had rust issues as the nuts had a piece of the old bolt that seemed to be cut off stuck in them. So I grinded the old nuts off and will tack weld new bolts on the bottom.

Ok, you may be able to buy square nuts at lowes if you want it to look more original. The back bolts are 1/2 coarse and the fronts are 7/16 fine just an fyi.

Re: Rear seat getting restored

Sorry been working a bunch and just got back online. I'm not 100% sure. They were in there when I bought it, But they are very comfortable. They look like original seats as far as how the passenger tilts up and how the driver seat slides. But I'm not a pro on the year of seats for these Blazers.
