Tie Rod Adjuster Sleeves

I'm looking to replace the tie rod adjuster sleeves on my 64 C10 2WD with the double adjustable tubular units from CPP. CPP lists one part number for 1960-64 and a different part number for 65-66. I would have bet the farm they were all the same. Does anyone know what the difference is? I want to be careful to order the right ones because returns are a hassle.

I'm making the switch because I'm not happy with the quality of the standard sleeves I installed a few years ago from a local parts house.

Re: Tie Rod Adjuster Sleeves

I was looking at parts to rebuild my 63 frontend and found that the tie rods are different for 63-64, the outer tie rod is shorter so the sleeve is longer.

Thanks! I figured it must be something like that.

Re: Tie Rod Adjuster Sleeves

I run a tie rod adjuster that my friend machined with RH and LH thread more than 20 years ago. I think you can get these from most of the suspension suppliers/retailers like Western Chassis, POL, CPP, etc.

Re: Tie Rod Adjuster Sleeves

A friend is working on a '63 Suburban and we figured out that 63-64 have around 8" sleeves , 65-66 are around 6" ? We're confused as well cause they're different than my '68.
