Looking for the Vin numbers on MY 1971 Short bed Chevy step side. Where do I Look?? Thanks

On the SPID, on the inside of the glove box door. also on a metal plate on the inside of the driver side door jamb, There may also be a partial VIN stamped into the top of the frame rail by the steering box.

There are a couple of other possible locations but check those first.
