Front shock selection for 2" lowering springs

I just installed front 2" lowering springs on my 68 C10 and trying to find a shock that will work without relocating the upper mount.

With the truck sitting on the ground the shock mounting length is right at 11" and the stock shocks are 10" compressed which only gives me 1" of travel before bottoming out.

I have searched everywhere for drop shocks for just a 2" lowering spring and most offered are similar in length to the stock shocks lengths. I've found a Monroe shock that is 8 3/8" compressed and 12 3/4 extended with the correct mounts but with these I'm worried that the extended length is too short for when the truck is on the lift since the unloaded mount length is 13 1/2" and the shock would be supporting the weight of the front suspension vs. the upper bump stop.

So what shock is everyone using for shock for a 2-3" front drop spring?
