Having problems with lowering...
I am about to lower my suburban, but I have a problem. The front suspension is out of a 1977 Chevy half ton truck, while my rear suspension is stock. Will a lower spring kit for my '68 work with my front suspension? Or do I need to order different springs for the front?

Re: Having problems with lowering...
I'm not 100% certain, but I'll share what I THINK I know..... My 68 suburban front springs have a tighter-wound "D" opening at the top that specifically fits a "D" stamping in the top pocket....
I've lowered a couple of 73-78 era half ton trucks that had conventional wound springs in the front.... Based on this, it would be my opinion that if you are using the 77 crossmember, you would also need to use springs from that era.... I'm still not convinced that a 77 doesn't have a wider trac-width that a 67-72 because I have never been personally involved in such a swap or experienced the results first hand... |

The springs will work.

Re: Having problems with lowering...
yes they will. the 73-87 does have a slighty different spring rate (stiffer i believe) over the 67-72.
