Headlight issue for '96
I've got a '96 3500, and the headlights are really dim.
Two of the four bulbs are on when I drive with the headlights on. These are the same lights as the daytime running lights. When I hit the brights, the first set of bulbs goes out, the brights come on. When I drive down the road with my headlights on, the car's lights behind me are doing more to illuminate the road in front of me, than my own headlights. Are my night-time headlights the same bulbs as the daytime running lights? Or do I have burned-out bulbs here? -Brad

Photo bucket isn't showing the pic... just the icon with the speedometer in the box.
you could send them to me at brad56@windstream.net, or text them to (706) 424-5035

Re: Headlight issue for '96
check to be sure the proper part number is in the correct location.
Measure the voltage at the location in question at the back of the bulb. If it's lower than what you read at the battery, check the headlight switch. |

Re: Headlight issue for '96
I'm having a similar problem on my '98 c35 low beam headlights, but I don't even see the green
DRL light. The lights stay on when I press the emergency brake, so.....Ill check the voltages. Thanks

Re: Headlight issue for '96
Same as my 98. Mine are just way outta adjustment. Before I had my battery disconnected for s month replacing fenders n front steering my green light on the dash never came on. Now it does since I'm daily driving it. My cargo light works now too? So go figure... . Does yours only when you have the done light switched on by the headlight switch?
