Spare tire question
 Does anyone have a picture of their spare tire mounted under the truck and also where did you get the pieces for the tire holder? I have a 69' Custom Camper I got over the summer but who knows why they took the parts off. I guess they didnt expect to get flats. Thanks. Truck69

Check the LMC catalog CB.34, page 21, lower right. The diagram is fairly good. However, learning how to get the tire up onto it is fun to watch. Make sure the valve stem is where you ccan reach it with a hose. Good luck!!

ive never had one that didnt rust out thats why i just throw a spare in the bed. if you get the piece that goes across the tire the rest you can fabricate out of threaded rod and maybe a couple of nuts and washers

Sorry, I don't have any pictures, BUT, I can recommend...
I got the spare tire carrier out of an early 90's Dodge truck (but I would imagine that about any tire carrier would work). It was a bit too long, I cut it ~4". You will have to buy a new bolt, I can't remember exactly how long, but somewhere along the lines of 10-12" long to mount the carrier. Then I used the other half that came off of the donor truck to 'screw up and down' to raise and lower the tire. I am very happy with the carrier except that my truck is ~2" lower than stock and if I had much of a load in the bed, I wouldn't be able to get the tire out if I had a flat on the rear. I plan on cutting part of the metal that is vertical that goes inside the wheel to hold it in place, to make it easier to get the tire on and off, but then you don't have flats everyday either so...... Good luck with it!!!

I have one on my truck I'm about to take off. With the spare under the bed it hangs down pretty low. Also the last owner put a little wider tire than stock so it won't fit anyway. If I can find a winch/hoist type I may mount it under there.... they look a little cleaner and work alot easier.

Instructions. roll tire to truck, lower tailgate. Throw tire into back of truck, making sure not to squash anything. Like pop bottles or dogs.
