Light bar for a 72 blazer?

i'd love to be able to put some off road lights on my blazer. anyone know of some kind of pre-runner bar or light bar that you can mount on top of the windshield frame? what about lights on a roll bar that you could swivel downward when a top is put on?

My $0.02 - DO NOT mount anything to the windsheild frame, they are
fragile enough as it is, lots of off-road company's carry KC type lights
that mount to the rollbar via a clamp that can be swiveled down when
not in use, that is the direction that I would go if it where me. JMHO

If you mount them on the roll bar wouldn't that light up the whole inside of your truck, dashboard, windshield, hood, etc, etc....
I think it would be hard to see, one of my boys turned on my Q-beam in the back seat and I was blinded momentarily! JM.02

Good call Luv. I didn't think about that. How about hiding two lights behind the inner grill??

I wounder if you can get a light shield that will connect to the bottom of the light to keep the lights from shining inside

Could you not use the old Headlight 1/2 moon idea, but place the upside down?

Re: Light bar for a 72 blazer?

It depends on what you really want the lights to do. You could get a push bar and mount 2 halogens that would give you all the light you need for the road. I have thought of cutting some holes in front bumper of my 71 with a good hole saw and mounting 2 small round h2's. On my 70 I am going with the repo bumper that has the holes already made

There was a light bar on my hard top when I got it and promptly removed it.
