I am missing the shift indicator needle are they easy to find? (i.e order new) or are they junkyard only parts?

Depends on if you have a TH-350 or 700-R4. TH-350's are plentiful, 700-R4 not so much. Heck, I even have a spare 350 indicator I could part with for not much more than shipping.

I've got a 700r4, but wow I didn't know it made a difference for an indicator on the gauge cluster

Not for the needle itself, the whole assembly. Sorry, I mis-read your post. You should be able to replace the spring/cable/needle assy with any other one.

You should be able to find the needle at any junkyard. The cable was still available from GM, not sure if it still is. Was about $15.00 if I recall correctly. I would not screw with a junkyard cable, just buy a new one if you need it.

I would get the needle at the junk yard because I think if you get it new its the entire assembly, which reminds me i need to find a needle for my truck because it's been without a indicator almost as long as I've owned my truck
