RPM/PRORIDES 68 shop truck

Heres a few pictures of one of my projects that we work on at the shop in all our spare time. I'm kind of new to posting on this forum so take it easy on me. I have a boat load of pictures so if there would be something you would like to see just let me know. It has Nathan Porters Porterbuilt crossmember in it(which I can't say enough about) Our own back half on it, New Goodmark complete floor. 20s & 22s BFGs rubber. It had a new small block built for it but it ended up in c10 addicts 64 somehow. So it may end up with a LS or BB Chevy in it. Thanks for looking guys let me know what you think. I'll be posting more pictures as soon as I put them together.

Can't bet them for the money. I going to put a hubcap over the center & do some powdercoating on them, but the colors are up in the air right now.

Re: RPM/PRORIDES 68 shop truck

I will work on the pictures tomorrow. The truck is a lot further along than it is in the pictures so I will work on getting some newer pics. up on here. As far as gettin it of the jig, we build it so we can roll it over to the 2post lift and lift it by cuttin of the welds on the chassis and picking it up. Colors are out in the air right now. I always have trouble picking my own. I'm thinking Red and maybe even flat clear over the red. But only time and money will tell. Josh you ever think about movin to PA and building Hot Rods for a living. Thanks again guys.

Is that an offer!!

Yeah eventually I would like to do it for a living but worried that once you cross over to that path it would take some of the fun out of it. Do you ever get a little bored when someone comes in for a basic build or mods? Anyways you guys do some BEAUTIFUL work and glad you came over to this forum. There is tons of great people on this site and alot of cool builds.

Josh

Ps. If you have any more build pics of that truck i would love to see them!

Re: RPM/PRORIDES 68 shop truck

Josh,
I really like what I see in your work , so yes that would definitely be a offer. It is a big step going from a hobby to a living. I did it for years as a hobby & loved it, but to do it everyday is awesome. For me the small business side of it is kind of a drag but thats what has to pay the bills & keeps the projects moving along. We usually don't do small projects unless its something that is super quick or easy. I have one guy that just does wheels & tires & One guy that just does all the 12 volt stuff, so those two do a lot of in & out jobs. I do a lot of shows & thats where I get my satisfaction from & seeing our customers with smiles when people are blown away by there cars, Its all you could ask for. We build all killer stuff & thats the only way we'll do the projects it has to be what we want it to be. So I never get bored with projects, I just wish we could get them done faster. Thats where someone like yourself comes into play. Someone that has done it as a hobby & understands that when you come home from work or on the weekend you need to get something done so you can keep it rolling, I feel is better than the guy that just got done at school & thinks he's Boyd or Troy or even the attitude that he's better. I been doing it full time for six years now & I love it. I left a good career to this but don't regret I minute.I figure you only live one time & I can build 3 to 5 badass cars a year this way.Its awesome!!

Sounds like you got a nice operation going over there. I appreciate the offer and I am flattered that you like my work enough to offer me a job! I am happy doing what i am doing now (Mechanical Contractor) but if anything ever changes i will definately get in touch with you. Waking up every day and building some sick a$$ rides would be a dream come true. Do you ever come over to California for car shows? Would love to see your work in person! Maybe when i get my truck done we can meet up at a show. Talk to you later.

Josh
