I have been talking to this guy on this transfer case. seems to be all there, not sure what it goes into for sure but would $150 be a good deal on this? I have a 61 Factory 4 wheel drive and itd be nice to have an extra for parts or something. let me know what oyu all think. thanks.

I think so....Looks to be in good shape as well. And stock 4X4 trucks are hard to come by let alone spare parts. I would jump on it....though the price I saw said $200....is he willing to go down to $150? I would get it.

Re: Is it worth it

Your truck should have a T221 in it, so this should be a good spare as long as it isn't trashed. If your truck doesn't currently have a T221 in it, it wouldn't be difficult to retrofit it. Those T221's are notorious for leaking and if the owner doesn't keep up on the oil level, the bearings get eaten up.

The bearing cap on the rear of the transfer case is known to crack and fall apart,

$150 is a steal in my opinion. If something breaks it's a relatively small amount to get you back on the road again. I would buy it for $200 if it were nearby. Good luck with it.

Re: Is it worth it

I have a spare but if I found another one for $150 I would have two.
