vin decoded

Is the LMC vin decoder accurate?
I have one more truck, before I take possesion of it I am trying to get the title, My dad got it from a co worker 30 yrs ago, I asked him if he could help get the title for it, It would have been easier to go through the DMV. He sent me the number off the door plate - SKRB- 1527 I looked it up on LMC and see no trucks started with an S he insists its an S but hes 81
This is how I decoded it...
< Dad
all the trucks from 1947-59 start with a number
If the first number is a
5= the truck was made in Kansas city
K = 1952
R=3600 SERIES OR 3/4 TON
B- Feb.

production number 1527
So its a 1952 3/4 ton

Joe,
I had to pry the PU door open from the inside. The information is:
Serial number SKRB- 1527
Maximum weight 5,800 lbs
The rear wheels are single and all four rims are split rims.
Check it out and let me know the year.
