How much rake will i get with 2.5/4 drop?

I recently ordered all required items for a 2.5/4 drop from ECE but am afraid I may have pulled the trigger to soon and I am wondering if I should've gone 5" in the rear?? I don't mind a little bit of rake but would prefer 1" or so at most.

I don't want to notch the frame and do plan on using the bed of the truck for a couple dirtbikes occasionally.

Can anyone post side view pics of the rake on a 2.5/4 as opposed to a 2.5/5 and give me some thoughts on clearance without notching?

Thanks,

Re: How much rake will i get with 2.5/4 drop?

I don't have any pics, but if I remember correctly, a stock truck has about a 2inch rake from the factory. If you drop a bone stock factory truck 2.5/4, you'd have about a .5 inch rake.

But all in all as far as how much rake there is with that said drop all depends on tire size for an modified truck. Hope this helps. If I'm wrong I'm sure others will chime in

Put ya stuff on and get ya some 255/70/R15 tires and mount them on 8"wide wheels and you will have the same look as my truck in avatar.

With equal sized tires the rake will barely be noticeable. The 2 1/2 4 drop generally lowers and almost levels the truck. Do be aware that while you will get 2 1/2 drop in front, the rear springs have probably sagged over the years so the rear is probably already at a lower height than originally stock.

Right on, along with spindles I have new coils and shocks coming all the way around. Eventualy I'm gonna get some bigger wheels but for now I have 275/60/15's all the way around. I hope to keep the 275's in the back and just buy 2 new tires up front I'm guessing 255's? The goal is to have zero to no rake when all said and done!
