GMC grill info

I need some schooling here. I'm on the lookout for a chrome grill and wanted to ask about the big farm and commercial trucks, I know the hoods are short but are the grills the same? How about the front bumpers? Did the big trucks ever have a chrome grill? What other parts do the big trucks have to contribute? Thanks in advance

Re: GMC grill info

Not all big truck goods are shorter. I believe only the COE versions are shorter, the stub noses. But the grille should mount the same, I believe, if I'm wrong someone correct me. Front bumpers are generally bigger and different on the 50 and up series but the cluster and a lot of interior parts will switch over

Re: GMC grill info

grilles are the same, but the mount bracket has to be changed, big truck mounts flat, smaller mount at an angle. most fire trucks had chrome grilles....
as drkast said , doors most of the interior pieces and the hood will interchange,.

Thanks guys, don't know if I've seen a fire engine but we do have some farm size trucks around, just need to beat the brush.
