Overload Springs for Trailing Arms??
I found a parts truck that has a set of overload springs on the trailing arms. Just curious how common this is.

I had a set on my 1/2 ton short step when I bought it.

Re: Overload Springs for Trailing Arms??
I have them on my 69. I have seen them on a few trucks, probably fairly common.

Re: Overload Springs for Trailing Arms??
My truck came with 2000-lb coils on the rear...a SWB. I can't imagine having enough of a load on it that a set of those overloads would be needed. It rode like the proverbial rock that Chevy says it is. Sure is better with the lowering springs on it. But, I can see those being useful to me, now.
No, I don't plan on needing any, thanks.
