67CST rebuild down under
hi everybody i got my truck back from the painters today , now i have to do some work to put it all back together . i dropped it off at the painters dec 09 i had a cash flow problem but that is ok now so here we go

the first job i have to do is put it up on jack stands and take the diff out . i have tubbed it to the chassis rails and i have 15x10 centre offset centerlines with a hoozier 29 x15.5 for the rear. i have to order new moser axles . i have c clip eliminator kit , diff brace ,30 spline eaton trutrack ,rear disk brake, short stroke shockers,and new lowered springs i will post pixs of the parts tommorow every thing has been in storage for 3 years. its good to see my stuff again.

yes i know, i would rather of left it left hook but our road laws are if lhd it has to be all original even down to the wheels. i wanted to lower it and put centerlines so i had to convert the truck and i got a bb for it as well so rhd it had to be

The laws are as crazy there as they are in Canada, I hope James (Nuke1) chimes in on this thread!!! It is looking sweet already, of course we are looking for some technical frame cutting and tubbing advice from you! Great start to an awesome project!!!

that is a great color and looks teriffic being the steering is on the wrong side it gives a real good view of the ditch to the driver.

today i dummy fitted the diff with the new lowered springs and the one inch lowering blocks . took some measurements and worked out i need to shorten the diff two inches. i noched the chassy 3/4 in to fit the bb motor stands . fitted a 71 e brake ass . started to dummy fit the front stabilizer. mounted the power booster and started to mount the accelerator pedal next job is to mount the t400 crossmember.

I unpacked a few more things today the dash cluster and the diff cover . I went to my diff guy today and ordered two new moser axles

I am running power windows from Nu Relics , they where really helpful . there 67-72 power window kit does bolt straight in and the switches look good too.

i finnished doing the dummy set up on the diff so now i am going pull it all apart. the diff is going to get shortened . i have ordered new 3.90 gears and i am going to start prep work to paint the chassis i get the front rotors back tomorrow , i had longer studs made and 1/2 in instead of 7/16 for extra strength because the extra weight of the bb
