89 Silverado djm cnotch issues
So I installed a c notch kit from djm, 4/6 drop on my 89 Silverado. Been driving it for couple weeks now and I have adjusted the rear shocks with the extenders. Seems like there is not enough play for the shocks to extend. It bottoms out with any little bump.
Another question my left rear wheel is more to the back and the right rear is more to the front. So I'm thinking I might of re installed the leafs springs backwards on one side? Any input guys? |

Did you install the hole toward the front of the truck on both sides? This is how the stock leaf packs go. Long single leaf towards the rear. |

Yea I installed the hole side towards the front but I'm not sure if I installed one leaf spring backwards, I'm gonna double check but my truck only has 2 leaf springs

Re: 89 Silverado djm cnotch issues
Did you remove the whole leaf packs to install a axle flip or did you remove some leafs out of the pack also? I leave the leafs installed or just remove the shackle bolts for a axle flip. Much easier than removing it all.....You have any pics of it? Might be easier for us to help you figure out the problem. Maybe someone can see what went wrong in a pic.

I removed the whole leaf spring from the shackles, and just put it under the axle. I had to remove the center 10mm bolt. I'll take some pictures soon

I've done countless flips and am not seeing an alternative to removing the front and rear leaf spring bolts to allow you to take it out and put it under the rearend. |
