My 67 needs HELP PLZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Everybody,
I’m needing some help here with my 1967 C1500. I just bought this, it’s been drove hard and put away wet if ya know what I mean!!! I want to put in a TH 350, which crossmember will I need to use?
I have a 1986 Chevy truck for parts, can I put the front axle (crossmember) in from the 86?
Will I have to use the wheel cylinders from the 86 for the rear if I do use the brakes from the 86?
Can I use the power booster, proportioning valve from the 86? In other words, use all braking components from the 86 into the 67?
Could the rear axle be swapped without modification?
Does anyone know of a good source for used body parts in the Myrtle Beach area?
Does anybody have a good used core support to sell me? A trans crossmember?
I can’t see any tag on the firewall like the cars had, where is the “body tag” that gives paint codes? There is “DD” under the VIN on the door post, is that color code? If so, what is the color?
I know, lots of questions, I just got it, I’ve built many cars over 30 years, but my first truck to build as a toy!!! Thanks in advance for all your thoughts.

Well, I can answer some questions, I think. I also have a 67, and changed mine over to discs by using a 77 truck front end (the crossmemer and all) As for the brake lines, I used all of the front lines, hard and rubber, from the 77, and left my back line alone. I also used the proprotioning valve from the 77, You must use the 86's proportioning valve due to the disc brakes. A front disc, rear drum master cylinder must also be used (I have no idea if the 86 master cylinder will work) Not sure about the booster. Your 67's rear wheel cylinders should work fine with the 86 set up. I'm assuming that your 67 has coil springs, if so, the 86 rear end will not work. If the 67 has leaf springs, then it should bolt up.

Thanks

Hey Guys,
Thanks for your input. I'll try to size up the booster/cylinder when I get it off the 86. I wasn't sure if the rear wheel cylinders were the same bore or not without checking it. I seem to remember that they have to be the same bore size as the "receiver truck". As for the tranny crossmember, the 86 has an overdrive trans, stock. So i wasn't sure about the mounting of it! I'm not worried about drilling some holes in the frame, just the positioning of the mount in the member. I'll have to wait and see if the rear end is usable before doing anything with that! Yep, the 67 is coil, and the 86 is leaf!
I'm trying to get some ideas before tearing into it all the way, I sure do appreciate your input.
One more question, too,................anybody know the dimensions or the thickness of the bed wood? I'm starting to realize that I'm trying to build a "parts truck" but it deserves to be re-incarnated, right??????????????????
Thanks Again
