Conversion?

How difficult is it to convert a C20 to a C10?

Are the frames different?

Can i buy 5 lug disk conversion kits for them?

Re: Conversion?

Easy. Just simple parts replacement.

I believe the 20-series frame is heavier (thicker/larger channel)

Yes,you can buy a kit. But,you could also buy the used C/10 stuff or a donor truck. If you aren't looking for drop spindles you can find stock parts for reasonable money from someone who installed drop spindles

Thank you, i have only owned my K20 up till now, looking for another..

I'm sure stock spindles with shorter springs would be all I want.

Who would make the kit for the spindles and disk brakes? Need ideas.

Would this just involve swapping the front spindles only? or also the upper and lower A arms?

Guess it would also mean swapping out the rear axles or whole rear end to get 5 lug?

Re: Conversion?

I'd just drop a stock 5 lug crossmember out of a truck. Only 10 bolts hold them in. I bet you could do a front rear complete swap for under $500. Unless you have sentimental value in it, you may be better off just buying a c10
