New bed wood

I just replaced the wood and metal strips on my 68. I helped cut the local oak about 12 years ago and some of it did the bed in my 50 Chevy 8 years ago...Also put in a new front panel...
I love laying under the truck and screwing on the nuts...

Looking good! It's cool you cut the wood yourself...how time flys huh.

Re: New bed wood

Thanks.. I tried to make it fit in the worn truck appearance....My friend is a tree cutter and saved some tree trunks. He rented a large band saw on a trailer and gave me a pile of oak board for helping him...

So...with the fresh 292 engine the truck is sorted out pretty good now...just a oil leak from the Rockwell transfer case to chase after.
