Blazer Floor Pans
Who has blazer specific floor pans and also what mods have to be done to use a truck floorpan?
This is the front complete floorpan, not the rear cargo area. -Ryan

Re: Blazer Floor Pans
That is a nice piece. I was about 6 months too early in putting my blazer back together. Modifying the truck one was kinda a pain.

Re: Blazer Floor Pans
I don't want to say who I got mine from but I don't think there's more than one or 2 companies making them.
I'm glad I have a parts truck cause we've been cutting pieces off and welding them into the new pan to get a correct fit. The bottoms of the A pillars and the curved piece that goes over the transfer case. It wouldn't sit down in place w/o replacing it. Cut the one out of the old pan and welded it into the 'new' floor pan. What a PIA this has become. Lots of cutting and bending. I feel sorry for those of you doing it without a parts vehicle or access to one. I wont be sure if my pics post till I hit submit. Some kind of message came up about needing a 'security token' If they didn't, I'll post when I'm allowed

Re: Blazer Floor Pans
Thanks. Lets see if this works.
Huge difference between stock and replacement. Lots of tweaking and cutting getting it to match at the firewall also. I'll get some more closeups.

Re: Blazer Floor Pans
Also modified the new floor crossmember over the transfer case.
Photos below: 1). First photo shows interference with TC, holding floor up; 2). 2nd and 3rd photo shows floor crossmember at TC modifications for clearance , basicly cut crossmember to shorten its profile to match original, rewelded. The highlighted yellow area in third photo was cut out; 3). 4th photo shows crossmember with modification completed; and 4). 5th photos shows crossmember before modification. Let me know if more detail is helpful Last edited by aotte1; 10-06-2020 at 12:28 AM. |
