Time to teach the kids

Hello from another new member. We watched our 58 Plymouth drive away today without us. But now we can do some serious work on our 71 C10, fleetside. We picked her up last summer and have a little work done, but now...

Re: Time to teach the kids

Congrats, Plagee and kids and welcome:
All 4 of our kids helped restore their first cars. 2 girls, 2 boys. We started in '84. They drove them thru hi-school and college. All grown now, but the cars are stored, but still driven occasionally to parades, reunions, etc. ( no crazy driving tickets nor accidents). They respected their rigs and knew how to care for them.
Enjoy and treasure the experience with them.

Re: Time to teach the kids

Here is what we started with, removal of cab, new cab stripped. The original cab was so rotted, I found up an A/C cab in Wiscconsin that is what is back on the truck right now. Working on the mechanical right now, just put a new oil pan in, paid for the "quality" only to have the the drain plug leak after refilling.
