I need a transfercase to bolt to my Th400
mine just went no warning now nothing engages

I was told that the t-case I am looking for is a NP208-C
What I do know for sure is the shaft is a 32 spline 1 3/8" shaft

I really would like to find one local if possible (Philadelphia Area)

I need to buy one at a reasonable price or maybe work out a trade

Why not just rebuild it? I rebuilt mine in less than a day. Its easy and fairly cheap depending on what happened to it.

i've never tried openining one of these things, plus how long would it take to get seals
i think a lot went wrong it sounds like someone dumped a bag of marbles in it
i may need hard parts and then i am stuck i really don't want to get in over my head
this is now my daily driver and i need it back up quick
i will give a rebuild a try afterwards just for the experience

It has 2 shifting forks inside(hi,low) and 2 different gears on the main shaft (hi,low). The gears "float" on the main shaft on needle bearings about 1" long (60 per gear). Its a fairly easy process to do but its a pain in the @$$ to fill it back up with it hooked in the truck. On mine, one of the shifting forks was wore out. Each fork has 3 plastic bushings so the metal fork doesnt bind with the metal gears. Mine got low on fluid and overheated and the bushings wore out which allowed the fork to ride on the gear and over time it got to much slack in it and would pop out of gear all the time. It took about a half a day to rebuild and cost me $26 for a new fork and whatever it was for the 5 or so quarts of ATF.
