My '71

I've been waiting to get on the Board for some time. Here's the story(so far) of my '71 half-ton. I tried to buy it about 12+ years ago before it was burned. Pics of when I finally got it, and some of the progress.

The body and interior were in pretty good shape, and 100% original.

Re: My '71

At one time, it had the third-row seat, but was removed and never replaced. The second seat is in EXCELLENT shape. Also very happy with the roof rack.

Re: My '71

The factory original 307 (I know, I know) was rebuilt and will be retained for now. It is +.030, Comp 260H complete kit, 305HO heads for better compression and a little bigger intake valve and will have a fresh 700r4 behind it.

Re: My '71

The windshield and drivers door glass were melted. The hood and front fender were warped from the heat. I forgot to mention that the fire was from a travel trailer that burned and the Suburban was parked about 1 foot away from.

Front seat was in need of attention. I bought new seat foams, and ordered a new cover from SMS last May, 2021. Still waiting..................
