Who sells the best auto tilt colum for the 67-72?

Looking for a new column for my 70 c-10. Looking for one with tilt, neutral safety, and if possible, one that will work with a 700R4. Been looking on line but just curious as to what everyone else has used.

There are a couple of forum members that restore them. They use original OEM GM columns.

Stay away from the cheap ones on eBay and elsewhere they’re made in China and do not last.

He has done one of mine and I highly recommend him. When I last talk to him he was trying to finish up a project of his own and wasn’t taking on any new work for a little bit. I would definitely reach out to him and see if he is back to doing columns. With that being said I know there’s at least one or two more on this site that do great work.

Re: Who sells the best auto tilt colum for the 67-72?

I have heard that the factory-style tilt supplied by CPP and others has been re-tooled and is better. I do know the price went from $399? to about $550 that may correlate. IF you can't find a factory tilt, might be worth a little research. They were reportedly very crappy and this is unconfirmed just sharing. I was fortunate enough to find a clean factory truck tilt, did a little scuff and shoot, replaced the bearings and switch and it works great. Probably have $350 into it.
