71 3/4 4x4 Gmc

Well due to some un-for seen health problems I have been laid off and I have not been here for insurance to kick in...
So anyway I have seen where I mite have to sell my baby A 71 3/4 4x4 GMC
low miles a little over 57,000 I'm the third owner. The first was the Lake George Fire Dept. Hence the lovely color. The next was a Man that used the truck for Cabin mantaince in Lake George and he took good care of it. The cab is un-cut. there is a rust hole in the right hand cab corner ( I have the replacement corner) The body mounts under the cab should be replaced.
There are holes in the cab and bed from lights and such.

The motor is a 350 block with 283/327 60cc power pack heads and a 2bbl I have added a HEI with a MSD 6A box. It runs great IMO But still needs a 4bbl I have a Offy intake for it but I have not yet put it on

The bed is in good shape all of the doors and locks work some rust in the back Floor is in good shape.
When I got it there where white spoke wheels on it. There is a newer style on it with Goodyear MTR's 285/16 there is about 60/50% of tread left.

As I said I'm not sure that I will have to sell Ol'Yeller I still mite beable to pull something out of my A$$ yet....
For a asking price I feel it is worth at lest 3800. If I'm off base go ahead and say so. As for pic's if there is something you would like to see just ask I'll take different ones.

Thanks Eric

I fully understand the miles lol Thanks for the kind words on the other. I'm glad I went to see a Doctor thursday, She put the fear of God in me with the words " Your lucky your still breathing.." The she put me on a EKG for my heart and took my DOT Med card... I'm sure in time things will start to flow again.

I hate to hear when someone "has to" sell something they love because of matters out of their control.I hope something can work-out so you can keep it.Hope your health improves.Like VtBlazer,I have lots of interest.I`d even enjoy the adventure of driving it back.I`m pondering, but not real sure.I`m a Service-body nut.I`ve had two in this body-style before and want another again.Maybe....Good luck to ya!

Thanks Special-K
I think the filler you see is a oil fill tube. It does have a 350 Auto. Over all it is a Plain truck I'll get a pic of the Glove box sticker. The Box is a Stahl.
If you were to drive Ol'Yeller back home I think the biggest problem would be Gas mileage when I have checked it 11mpg was about the best. One reason I have gotten the Offy 360 intake for it and some other things, Like some 906 Vortec heads from a board member, I'm not sure the heads will go with the truck I mite keep those for the Blazer.

When I got this Truck I was happy to see the doors & windows open and close like they should very little rust and even with the cab corner gone I got two new ones with a rocker to replace it with.
The gas gauge doesn't work till you have about 6 gal left. And it does have a oil leak I think it is coming from the Dizzy.

Anyway I will get some better pic's today and post them later tonight.

Eric

I think it would do really good on ebay, lots of people getting there tax returns about now.

I hope your health get better, I lost my DOT card 2 weeks ago and this is my last week of work, training my replacement after 25 years of driving.
