Removing eye brow and side molding

Hi guys, been searching youtube for ways to remove the eye brow molding from the front and rear of my 68 C-20 also the side moldings. Getting ready for a long overdue paint job. Not having much luck finding explanation on how to remove. Trying not to damage them as I am going to attempt to polish them and reinstall.

Re: Removing eye brow and side molding

The eye brow pieces have nuts on the back side of them. Usually those pressed sheet metal style that sometimes like to spin and not loosen. They are in a hard to reach area way inside the fenders.

Thanks for that. I found em. Looks like the rear ones are really going to be a bugger to get to.

Re: Removing eye brow and side molding

I think most of the side molding has spring clips, pinch together and they slide out. I found flexible thin putty knife works the best, 1 on each side tap lightly,...also some blue tape if you want to avoid scuffing up your paint.
