Trucks,friends and the little things
Yesterday Jim (jimer1964) stopped by my garage. We took the shop truck out for a run and had a blast catching up on our trucks, family and whats going on in general......in my younger days I would not have given it a second thought but after he left it hit me ,,man it was cool just hanging for a short time with a friend and it made my day.In this world of ever changing technology, busy lives and all the other things going on sometimes we have to take a break and cherish those little things...................Rob

That would be a great day. A couple of friends of mine came down unannounced one day and helped me do some things to the '70 4x4. They live about 20 miles away. After we got done working we had cookies and homemade ice cream.... And a good visit. Good times! I have the cap on, Gary is checking the electrical and Ron is sitting in the drivers seat. LockDoc

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |

Man, that is good stuff. In my first 50 years on this planet I have come to the conclusion you are blessed with only two things: people and time. All the rest is just stuff. These trucks are a joy but they are really only a reason to spend time with good folks.

Re: Trucks, friends and the little things
Huh... I never thought about the people. I just like the trucks! >>>>>>>>>>>>>
Rob, it tore me up last Feb when I was right there in Boyertown at the museum and didn't even get to say hello. The friend I was riding with is one who always has to hurry off to do the next thing. More about quantity than quality. Three hours each way and couldn't take a 1/2hr to drop by. We ended up eating right in town. coulda had a sandwich together at least, but he was in a hurry to get back. Jimer climbs communications towers and had a mandated training course to attend in Hagerstown, MD. He was stuck out of town at a motel with classes all day/nothing to do in the evening. I came by and took him on a partial tour of Antietam Battlefield, rode around the countryside some, then went for supper. That kind of thing is what makes my world go around.
