Who wants to make a trip to Arizona?

I really need a cab and am tired of dealing with the swap meets and people who have "nice cabs" for sale. I figured if I am going out there, some other people may be interested in picking up some parts. I have thought about buying one and having it shipped, however without seeing in person it's quite a decision to make.

I am located in Eastern Maryland. No definite game plan yet as to when and how, just trying to gauge interest. So who would be in?

I'm here already.... You may want to reach out to t korinek... he always seems to have something to offer the board... seems like he gets a steady stream of parts coming in.

There is a guy right here on the eastern shore that goes out to AZ quite often and picks uptruck loads of parts. He has brought back quite a few nice cabs. I am not sure if he has any right now but I have his name and number. PM me if your interested in talking to him. He is just south of Salisbury and hs quite a "collection"

Re: Who wants to make a trip to Arizona?

I've always wanted to make a trip back out there to pick up some rust free cabs and beds. Seems I always have the old time and money issue, no money when I have the time and no time when I have some money!

Re: Who wants to make a trip to Arizona?

I live in Arizona, but have been working out here in Solomans/Lexington Park,MD the past three weeks. I can understand your frustration. I have yet to see even one 67-72 truck. Maybe your state bird AKA "Mosquito" carried them all away. And this humidity is ridiculous! I'll be so glad to breate 'dry" air again.

Re: Who wants to make a trip to Arizona?

I brought one back to Houston from Phoenix in August. Pulled it all the way behind the Powerstroke making like 10 mpg (was a huge car hauler) and it was super worth it. Cab doesn't even need rockers! and I only paid 250 bucks for it. Original paint not even one single hole rusted or even starting to rust through ANYWHERE.

I appreciate you putting that thread up. I have talked to a couple of those guys that used to haul and try to sell. Which is why I figured I would ask people who have thought about going themselves, that way we bought for ourselves, not to try and resell.

Re: Who wants to make a trip to Arizona?

Just thought I would post up what you can find if you are willing to make that long drive! That on the top is surface rust. Looks way worse in the picture than in real life. And yea I have to put a piece in the back of the cab but I can live with that
