anyone interested in... (what's it worth)

I have located a 71 GMC with a green inst panel. The chrome is worn on the edges...but the panel it's self looks pretty decent.
2 questions...
Anyone wanting it...
and what's it worth?

I was wondering if they were original. I found a faded red one a while ago but I think it was actually painted silver instead of chrome, I think it was an idiot light cluster.... Learn somethin new everyday...

IS THAT A WOOD DASHPAD?!?!?

Andy, We have twins! I just pulled this from a '72 GMC and was wondering about the green (it was a dark green truck)! I am going to paint it black with silver around the perimeter ('67 old school). Mine came with the extremely rare SUN tach option and the even more rare Stewart Warner tranny temp sensor. I will bet there is only one of these in the univiverse. I am thinking about selling it a the next Barrett Jackson auction...LOL!

LOL!
Yes, many GMC trucks had color cordinated inst panels. Another GMC thing that many think was done by previouse owners is the black glove box door.
As for the red one you saw...it may have been a 67...many 67's had silver instead of chrome.
The truck I took the pic of had all kinds of bastarization done to it. The dash top was covered with indor/outdoor carpet with a piece of wood as a boprder, a huge sunroof that obviously let more water in than it kept out, 2nd gen camaro bucket seats and console....like I said...bastardization.
On the flip side, I'm going back on Friday (I'm actually taking a day off from work!) and getting a 99% rust free [PASSENGER side fender, a straight bumper...and maybe some other odds and ends too.

The one in my truck is painted dark olive to match the interior but it has the woodgrain decal over the whole face. It's got the optional ammeter/oil/temp gauge setup. I didn't know that it was even painted, I just thought someone did that because the decal was worn off in a couple places.

Andy, I figured for $15, mine was a real bargain! For the hot rod truck it would save me having to put in a tach for now and the tranny temp sensor is a very good thing to have...could be used for engine oil temp too. I love those Pull-A-Parts!

Andy, are the 67' GMC clusters hard to get? I will be going back to that yard sometime this winter and I will see if it's still there if it's worth the trouble to take it out. Guy is a little funny about selling stuff. He won't sell parts off of anything older than 1970...

I've seen a pale green bezel in 2 different Chevys. I have also seen a light blue one. I have no idea if they were original or painted by owner.

I've got a textured pale green one out of '68 gmc. I got a matching textured glovebox door, too. Anybody want it? Oh you can have the matching auto column, and door panels too.

if you could make a dash pad look just like an original one, but made out of wood, that'd be pretty sexy with a wood-bed truck, I'd think...

I was interested enough to respond to your offer. PM me with a price and we can go from there. I don't even need the cluster, just the bezel and glove box door.

I'd inquire about LHM's but I'd like the 68 style with the choke hole which is what I think yours is.
