Cruise control question...

Rod or blazerman will probably know this, but is this a dealer installed C.C.? It is on a 69 i just bought and not listed in the glovebox. I also noticed it has a sensor bolted to the floor with 2 wires on it next to the driveshaft. The driveshaft also has something attached to it. Any info is appreciated. More pics and info of the truck in another post. Thanks for any info, Eric

not original...I think that is an aftermarket unit. Dealer installed would be the same as the assembly line parts normally...defenatly would not have brackets like that.

Aftermarket too much stuff, we got a suburban with cruise on it, Ill get you some pictures of it, it has the cruise control button mounted below the dash, its just a pushbutton you push in when you get up to speed, Brad wants to keep it for his truck though, I see youre still alive, catch any craps up on Red????

Thanks for the replies, i wasn't sure since it must have been added over 15 years ago. I also noticed it has dummy sidemarker lights. The instrument cluster was dated 11-68. The tilt column looks correct for a truck, other than the color painted to match the interior.

Definetly aftermarket cruise, the burb I brought back from Colorado had one like that and it worked pretty good.
