Two choices race, replace the whole works, probably the best option by the looks of those lines. OR, splice in a new section with couplers. Problem is, your line(s) might go SPLAT somewhere else.

Well, since all the lines are orginal, I'm doing the entire rear line. We sell 60" sections of steel line at work, so I'm gonna just peice it all together. I'm just happy that it happend in my driveway, and not on the road. Hhhhmmmm, this would be a good time to install that 72 rear end I have sitting around............ But ya know, I'm thinking I should pull the bed maybey....... EXP. if I'm thinking of changing the rear end out....

Cool

Not much more than what you see. Your gonna want to have the lines that go out, go right back into the master, like in the picture. Keep a good amount of fluid in the master and slowly push in the plunger, small steps at at a time, until there are no more air bubbles anywhere in the master. Really is simple.

Hee-hee......sorry, just laughing with you.

Same thing happened on mine, except the line that gave way was the one running between the front wheels and snaked around and through the front crossmember. Its amazing how much crap gets trapped under there. I had to dig for near an hour just to find the leak. And brake fluid is a ***** to get off the driveway.

The line on the other side crapped out in the driveway a week ago (the best place to crapout)I replace both sides the short side ended up braking by touching it. 32 years is good for steel lines I guess !

Cool

Yea, I have some stains in my driveway from this little mishap. So far, I replaced the rear brake hose, and both lines going to the wheel cylinders. I just might do the wheel cylinders too. I dunno yet. I just hope that the rest of the system holds up. I do know that my rear resivor was always going low. I just thought it was being lost from the bad master.
