I'd go to wheelers or Tractor supply or Wal-mart or someplace and buy a cheap sandblaster, and some abrasive, it will be much faster and do a better job than trying to get by with sandpaper.

Talking

On my step side, I took the bed off so I could wire wheel the frame. It was a lot cheaper than some other alternatives. It took about 4 hours then I coated the frame with Eastwood’s chassis restoration kit. Very worth while and it turned out very nice.

A couple of cans of Easy-off will strip just about everything(just don't get it on the glass.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

I just pulled my bed off a few weeks ago, I bought a cheap sandblaster, blasted from the rear cab mounts back. Put two coats of extend, one coat of primer and then one coat of black
Here is picture I took of it

I'd wire wheel it, might be even worse than it looks, and the wire wheel won't take off as much solid metal that's left as a sandblaster will. That's my next step, is to take my bed off and find out how bad the frame is, along with replacing my cross sills and bed floor.
