Two Audio issues irritating me...

First, Do they make a kick panel that I could put a 6x9 in? I have the new Dano Roddoors and i don't want to have to cut into the door panel to put my 6x9's in. I LOVE my 6x9's (Infinity 330W) They are massive. I was looking at Subtle71 interior and noticed his kick panels and wanted to know if anybody makes them or if it's even possible.

Second, Anybody figured away to put a sub somewhere in their truck when they still have the gas tank in?

about to tear my doors apart-new glass, regulators, roddoors, and all.

thanks

Yellow, althought it looks silver to me! I do not know of anone that mass produces a kickpanel to house a 6" x 9". I know a few shops that can build them for you. If you prefer, I can check to see what dealers we have in your area that I know are capable of doing a quality job for you! (Eventhough they are Infinity speakers, I won't hold that against you! )

As for the sub thing, you can install a pair of 10" subs under the seat or I chose four 8" subs for under mine.

No 6x9 kick panels that I know of. If your speakers are massive and you decide to fabricate some, you might have to ditch or bend/move the e-brake pedal.

There are a few running subs under their seats or in center consoles (if you have buckets.)

Re: Two Audio issues irritating me...

Sorry, Dean if you're giving a way Polk products I'll be there. My neighbor worked at Harmon Kardon in Franklin,KY and got me these for $75

If you can point me in the area of a shop that can build them for me I'd be interested.

I could do without a e-brake if I had to. In fact mine doesn't work because someone has taken some of the cable out.

Re: Two Audio issues irritating me...

There is just enough room under the seat for a custom box for a 8" shallow sub. Im still in the process of making mine....

Don't know who it was, but a member a while back had speakers in the lower B-pillar. I don't remember if he was running a gas tank, so I'm really no help at all.

Box or Boxes under the seats, or if you have buckets a custom center console

me? i'm running 5"X7"s back there, i don't know if 6"x9"s would fit. that won't work for yellow69 because his truck is already painted and you would have to weld the b pillars shut and cut a hole for the speaker.
also those are my rear speakers, i have 6 1/2"s in my doors for my fronts.

I've seen some awful looking Subs between the bucketseats. Dont do that. You'll look like you are 16.

Re: Two Audio issues irritating me...

I've just acquired an RE8 8" sub to put under the seat, somone posted a plan for a box to take on that fits under the standard bench seat on an earlier thread that I downloaded and will be using as the basis for my box. At the moment I have a set of JBL GTO 3 way 6x9's in the doors (cut by the previous owner at the wrong end IMO as the fire into the end of the seat) but short term I'll probably stick with these as fronts and just amp them. Got to find a cheap secondhand amp now for the sub and fronts.

This was the box plan:
