rochester carburetor

hi, i have a 68 c-10 with a monojet rochester carburetor in it. the gaskets or whats left of them need replacing. i think its a type m, but i wasnt sure so i looked up the casting number '7034061 c2' on http://www.oldengine.org/unfaq/leadfoot/qjet1.htm from what it says i figure i have a 1966-67 a.i.r equipped mono-jet made by pontiac in 1964. does that make sense?
im still not sure if its the model m or mv...anyone know?

Re: rochester carburetor

Is the number 7034 or 7043?

Re: rochester carburetor

my 68 had the same. when i bought a "new one at the store it was rebuilt from another vehicle. if you're getting that on the casting number (and it's not just a number reversal), i think you probably just got one rebuilt from another vehicle. should use the same gaskets, i would assume?

Re: rochester carburetor

IIRC "M" is manual choke and "MV" is thermal choke.
