Longbox to Shortbox
I started to play around with photoshop and found out that the truck would look pretty good with a shortbox. But I'am fairly new to the whole rebuilding process, nevermind bodywork. I'm sure i could handle the roof removal, but shortening the frame is something i'm scared to even attempt. So what exactly is involved in that...and do body shops charge a whole lot to have a frame shortened?

My oldest son crossed that issue with me.....Personally,I think cutting the frame would be "duck soup" ,compaired to slicing the top off,& making the cab stiff enough to stay in one place......69

Many body shops wouldn't even try it...too much liability. They look at any cut or tear in the frame as being 'totaled'.
The ones that would do it would take for ever. ------------------ '69 G.M.C. 350/350. Trying to clean up the left over damage from the Dope-Smokin-Old-Man I've been dubbed the Longhorn Freak/Fanatic/Expert, I just hope I can live up to it.
