I know this is a long shot, but I am looking for mint original painted cowl. It needs to be Dark olive green metalic with only the factory antenna hole. I can polish faded paint.

All I can say is good luck with the search.I can barely find any cowls in good shape period,with bad paint.

i have one...paint is shot but no rust...and factory antenna hole. just what your looking for minus the paint. make an offer if your interested. i can get pics also if you would like.

I know its a long shot, but my 71 3/4t 4x4 has a CB antenna drilled on the drivers side. I will probaly just have to put a plug in the hole. My truck has very nice original paint on it. Just though I might try!!

Thanks smoked, but the original paint is what I am looking for. Its for this truck, if you look close you can see the antenna base I want to remove. If my truck didn't have original paint I would just paint one.

cowl covers are a dime a dozen around here unless theres no antenna hole.
they often get left behind at the swap meets.

joe ill keep an eye out this spring for ya

where you looking for a matching tailgate for that at one time or was that someone else or a differant truck (i still havnt seen one yet if it is)

just my.02 but cant ya get a cowl and then take your truck to a paint supply store and they can take a picture of your paint and match it perfect.btw thats a sharp looking truck you have.

Oh, they could match the paint, but I am funny about original factory applied paint. It would be too easy just to repaint one!!

I know this isn't what you asked , but i have a cb hole on my gold 68 , kinda drove me nuts , so i got one of those stainless plugs from Lowe's and i hardly notice it anymore , lol . Old guy fix , ha ha .

Thats actually a Suburban in the background, it was the same color combo. I sold it a month ago.

I might have one, but to be honest i know it is faded. It is kind of buried so I have to climb over 3 trucks.

Its a good one Rob, bigger than the one in Lawrence and most of it is indoors. Its at the Kansas coliseum northeast of Wichita. I don't know about you but I am ready to walk around and look at some parts!
