Is this bed shorter than normal

is it just the big wheels playing trick on me, or is this a really short bed?

Looks like a trazer (truck body cut down to make it fit on a Blazer frame.)

Re: Is this bed shorter than normal

It looks like the cab has been stretched backwards at an angle (look at back of cab roof line) and the bed has also been angled in the back. Could be a combination of shortening/lengthening, but overall, it looks cool

Re: Is this bed shorter than normal

It looks longer then a short bed, but shorter then a longbed to me, not sure how they did it, but here's a pic of my shortbed for comparison.
At least....this is what it used to look like.

Yes it is shorter and he also layed the tailgate and rear corners forward about 5* or so. That along with the chop top does play tricks on you.

Re: Is this bed shorter than normal

i think what makes the cab look longer is the fact that the wing windows arent there

its a pretty cool looking truck though

Re: Is this bed shorter than normal

please quit laying frame!!!!!! Low is good but sparks don't make it run faster . Mine will be similar to the one on Stacy David's website. It was on Trucks tv ( Copperhead ) That is what these trucks are supposed to look like. But that is only my opinion and as you know opinions are like a#^holes, Everyone has one and they all stink.

Re: Is this bed shorter than normal

There are alot of mods to that sheetmetal. The overall length looks like a Blazer as mentioned by 70rs/ss.I think the roof wasn`t expanded when chopped. The leaned the back wall in.It looks to me like the hood is sectioned to sit lower.I wish I could see better pictures.

Re: Is this bed shorter than normal

while the bed is definatly short[er], im not sure the top has been chopped no wings, handle, and mirrors leaves a blank surface with no references but it could be. it appers to have factory chrome tirm at the windows.

does anyone KNOW! what size rims hes rollin?

i really like the whole truck, but i love the grill!!!!!!

very nice work, who ever built it sure know how to shape the steel right!! to make the tail and cab body lines land at the right spots after the bed was shortend takes some serious cut and stretching of panels.

That's what I see too. Looks like it's on a Blazer frame, but it could just be a shorteer frame all together. The cab is def chopped, windshield layed back, and back of cab looks like it's layed forward, but that might be an illuision as everyone has mentioned.

I wonder how many bails of hay it`ll haul. With all that work,it could be on a car frame.

Actually, we need a tape measure!! It looks like the top of the cab is stock width, with it chopped, or lowered, and it appears the doors/cab have been widened to acommodate the slope? It's crazy how at some angles it looks stock, but when you look again, something looks "off."

I agree, it's more than impressive work!
