Shocks for 6" Lifts?????

What you guys running??????? I can't find Ranchos or Edlbrocks for 6 inch.

Just ordered some Skyjackers for the time being. Have to get something on there so that I can drive it. They will be here Monday. I believe this 6" is more likean 8".

I`m surprised Rancho can`t help you out.Especially with your later-model application.I know Edelbrock is limited since they`re not a suspension company.Good shocks, though. Some may argue, but I really liked the ride of a set of Hecko(Heckothorn)hydraulic shocks.I used them with Superlift springs and they ride better than gas.Gas is all about preventing fade in offroad racing with all that repeated jumping and beating over bumps. That`s not a problem on road or the way I wheel.I know Superlift sells them.I had them on an`84 K/30 with a heavy diesel. They gave a great ride, like stock.

I like the Rancho RS9000X's I'm using on the K20. The have a good specifications pdf that lists all of their shocks. Once you know what style ends you need and the extended and compressed size, it's easy to find a shock that is correct.

Those are what I have on my 71 K10,I cant say how they ride. The truck hasnt been on the road for along time...I will probably change them out for some Ranchos before everything is done though. They will probably be changed in the winter while the trucks being painted...Probably will switch out the front springs too.

Re: Shocks for 6" Lifts?????

I have some Skyjackers coming in on Monday. Will get them painted red and put on Monday evening. I will do some measuring and look to see if I can find some Ranchos that will fit. It's a shame the ole ones wouldn't work.
