Pretty much done and drivin'

It's been awhile since i've been on and have changed my username, but the blazer project i was working on back then, 3 1/2 years ago. We painted it Memorial Day Weekend and drove it back to mesa Father's Day and drive it as often as the lovley Az temperatures allow.

Still have afew small things to finish up, primarily power steering, it's fun to drive but slow speed turning is a real workout.

Re: Pretty much done and drivin'

used to be 'blazersixshooter' was planning on droppin' in a 292 cid 6 cyl, but that all change when a buddy decided to sell his factorystock engine to me for a great deal less than I could build a comparitable engine, it's a 355 cid with the closest cam configuration you can get to the 67' vette duntov 30/30 set up, fuelie heads, runnin' a vega saginaw 4 spd, and 3.73 rear gear. I must say it's wicked quick and I was surprised at how well she handles, it launches hard and wants to run straight no matter how hard I hammer into it.

well it's good to be back, catch ya all later!

Re: Pretty much done and drivin'

Allan,

Good to have you back. I didn't think I had seen you on here in a while.

The truck looks good. I thought you were gonna do the whole thing in orange when you sent me those pics (a long time ago). The black and orange looks cool.

Jim

Re: Pretty much done and drivin'

I like the black! A little hot for AZ, but those are the colors of my daily drivers so I'm not dogging your choice of colors there. The trade off is the perfect winters. What do you have planned for the interior?

Yeah it's damn hot right now! fun as hell to drive in the morning and hot as hell to drive home in the evening. the interior pretty much done and it goes along with the outside, black and blaze red. finaly got the full moon or disc hub caps, it looks good but I think I need to drop her anout 1.5"s for them to look awesome, so hello after market parts, dammit! spindles and springs! will take and post some pics this weekend.

Later all,
Allan
